Winter Retreat

  • Lagom Landing 7966 Reeds Corners Road Dansville, NY, 14437 United States (map)

Winter can be a season that we just try to limp through. What if we were to look more deeply at what the season has to offer us? Explore what your body, mind, and heart can learn from fallow time. This is a good time of year to structure some life-giving habits into our lives. Explore the gift of FIRE (“Caveman TV”) in our lives. Enter into reflections, meditation, and stretching. Bundle up to face the cold and learn what it has to teach us as we hike and/or ski/snowshoe together. We will plan and dream about warmer days as we put our hands to work building benches and a picnic table for the grounds. Ambitious woodworkers can design and build cutting boards or other small projects. Those who want to nourish our bodies can create healthy soups, bake sourdough bread, and make seasonal meal plans for the rest of winter. Learn how hydration, stretching, connecting with others, eating real food, moving our bodies, and reflecting on our lives all can lead to better sleep and feeling better in general as we begin 2024.

Optional: Take a trip to downhill ski at Bristol or Swain one night of the retreat.
