Lea Kone has found her way along a winding career path that has included a few false starts, a crash and burn, a big diversion, a calling and even an accidental stint with “Big Tobacco.”
She currently serves in multiple roles including: Camp Director for Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake and Assistant Director for the National Organic Coalition, a non-profit advocacy group aimed at
keeping integrity in the organic label.
Lea earned her B.A. in Art History, from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and her M.S. in Recreation Administration with a concentration in Outdoor Pursuits from Aurora University in Aurora, IL.
She is also an avid hiker having completed the Camino de Santiago, a skier, an aspiring birder and an aficionado of all things related to food.
