Being outside in early March isn’t an experience most Western NY’ers relish. It’s often too late to enjoy skiing, yet too cold and muddy to do much hiking. Enter the gift of Maple Sugaring! The Mighty Sugar Maple holds gifts for all of us, reminding us that spring is just around the corner. Join us as we locate and identify our maple trees and tap into the goodness they have to share with us. Experience the wonder of the earth coming alive in springtime! We will also share maple-inspired food, discuss some powerful writing from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass, and delight in the process of receiving a profound gift from our trees. For those who want to learn how to make their own maple syrup, this is a great way to learn.
