Do you enjoy knowing what you are eating? Do you hunt, but out of freezer space? Come learn how to use a Pressure Canner to preserve meat (and dehydrate some Jerky!). This is the second of a two-part Food Preservation workshop teaching you how to stock your shelves with delicious food that you know the exact ingredients of! Judy Price, a career-long Master Food Preserver for Cornell Cooperative Extension will lead us through making and canning meat with a pressure canner, as well as dehydrating meat into jerky. We will conclude our afternoon with Dinner, and the option to stay for the weekend at Lagom Landing’s Preparing for Advent Retreat!
